Name tags in times of masked faces

arztpraxis-namensschilder-1_m.jpgThe hygiene regulations in the current pandemic are forcing people to largely hide their faces. The individual facial features disappear behind the mouth and nose cover. Even long-standing patients often recognize neither the doctor nor the practice staff. So no familiar atmosphere can arise. But with the right name tags, that changes again.

With high-quality name tags from anonymity

Permanently printed name badges, preferably made of acrylic glass , impress with their individual shapes . The option of having the signs made in different shapes is particularly advantageous if the practice frequently treats people with visual impairments or children who cannot read yet. This group of people cannot do anything with the lettering of the name.

But forms can grasp almost all people. Therefore, individually shaped name tags are an advantage. For example, the doctor's sign is in the shape of a cross, that of the doctor's assistant is round and the specialist in the laboratory wears a name tag in the shape of an Erlenmeier flask. Children will probably be happy when the doctor and his staff wear stylized animal figures with their names printed on them.

By the way: Since acrylic is very light, the sign can be a little larger.

Print name tags with photo

Names are not the same as a familiar face. It can therefore make sense to have the face photo printed on the name badge in addition to the name. Of course, this also applies to door signs.

Since patients currently do not see faces in the practices, only eyes looking over masks, photos are becoming more important. The familiar face on the door to the treatment room or on the breast pocket of the gown is reassuring. The patient is not speaking to a stranger, but again has the feeling of communicating with a person he knows.

Since it will probably be a long time before the doctor and practice staff greet the patients without mouth and nose covers, you should reconsider the signage in the practice .
