Extra tip: anti-static plastic cleaner with care protects the sign from getting dirty again and has better cleaning power than washing-up liquid.
Sand over the scratches with the dampened paper. Start with the 240 and continue with the other grits. If the scratch on the acrylic glass plate is no longer visible, polish with the polish and a buffing wheel.
